1. Divide your allotted Christmas shopping cash into envelopes. Each envelope represents a person on your list, and the total amount of cash you can spend on that person. It may seem overwhelming at first when you think of how many people, including your kids, that you need to buy Christmas presents for. But when you count your cash, divide it up and separate it per person, you will feel much more in control and calmer.

3. Shop yard sales, garage sales and thrift shops. Little ones will not really care where that riding toy came from when it is under the tree with a big bow on it! Just make sure to check toys and such are in safe condition. Candles, unique wine glasses, pretty sweaters, books and other 'treasures' can be found at thrift shops so much less than at department stores.

4. Magazine subscriptions can be an inexpensive gift that will make someone happy every month when the new magazine shows up in their mailbox!
