Shockingly Frugal Halloween Tips

Halloween can quickly become a haunting experience for people on a budget. Here are some money-saving ideas to be sure your ghosts and goblins have ab eerily fun time this Halloweeen.

Home Made Face Paint

1 tsp. corn starch
½ tsp. water
½ tsp. cold cream
food coloring

Mix and paint!

Fake Blood

Mix 2/3 cup white corn syrup, 1 tsp. red food coloring, 2-3 drops blue food coloring to darken and 1 squirt dish soap (helps blood to run well).

Create an "Old Look"

Cover face with baby powder. Draw dark lines on your skin for wrinkles. Smooth edges to blend. Cover again with baby powder. Add baby powder to your hair to create gray hair.

Cheap Halloween Decor

Candy Corn is inexpensive--use these Halloween treats as decorations. Put candy corn in glass vases and/ or bowls for table decorations.

Pine cones in baskets make a great Fall decoration.

Use a basketball or any play ball,and cover with a sheet for an instant ghost!

Take a pair of jeans and stuff with paper, towels, leaves, trash bags, etc. so that pant legs are full. Take a large pillow and put a shirt over it. Then tuck the "body" section into the "pants" section, just like a person. For the head, use a ball and place a cheap mask over the front of the ball. Then place a hat on the head. Now you have scary character to place in a chair by your front door to "welcome" your trick or treaters!
