Everyone has something in their closet they do not need, use or want anymore. Like that wedding dress? Or how about that bowling ball in the corner of your garage? Or the books on that dusty shelf in the attic? There are exchange sites to swap almost anything: clothing, books, music, DVDs, video games, and more. Some of them offer prepaid postage so members can take advantage of reduced shipping fees, paying only a flat rate for shipping.

Why not try an online swap site and swap your stuff for things you do need and want? The benefits of online swapping include-

  1. Frugal – you can get new items at no cost simply by exchanging them for your unwanted ones
  2. Eco-Friendly – swapping reduces both waste and resource consumption, as you get rid of unwanted items without discarding them and others continue to use them
  3. Fun – much more exciting than simply shopping online, and you’ll make new friends in the processes.
Here are 10 popular online swapping sites. Most have some system of feedback, and some of them actually award usable credits for good trades. Members who do not behave honorably are removed, and rules governing the type and condition of the items that can be listed are enforced.

Things To Do With Empty Cans of Soup

All of these ideas start with a clean empty soup can with no jagged edges. For some you may want to peel off the labels, others you might just leave the labels on!

1.. Having a picnic? Use empty Campbells soup cans as utensil holders for plastic forks and spoons on the picnic tables. (leave labels on ..adds a colorful unique touch!)

2.. Make a Halloween Decoration. Cover a soup can in black construction paper or fabric. Add some cut out eyes. For wings, color a paper plate black, Cut the plate in half. For each half, cut scalloped edges along one side, then glue "wings" to the side of the "bat can."

And a few more easy ways to recycle empty soup cans:

3. Use a nail and hammer to poke hole sin the bottom of sop cans and use as herb planters. Place a plastic lid under can to prevent rust stains.
4. Make Candlesticks (great tutorial from "Me Making Do")
5. Make a Flower-Shaped Cookie Cutter.
6. Make a Hanukkah Gift out of a soup can.

Make Your Own Strawberry Facial Scrub

Wondering what to do with summer strawberries that are getting soft and mushy? Instead of throwing them away, use them to make this awesome facial scrub that smells as good as it feels.

3-Ingredient Strawberry Facial Scrub

All you need are 2 strawberries, 1 tsp. honey and 1/4 cup sugar. That's it.

Blend the strawberries and yogurt together in a blender for a few minutes or until you get a smooth mixture. Then add the sugar slowly until you see a grainy pinkish paste.

Gently massage the strawberry paste on your face for a minute or so. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

Strawberries contain salicylic acid - an ingredient used to fight acne and other skin blemishes. So while you are enjoying the sweet strawberry scent, you are helping your skin at the same time.

A new use for old strawberries.

Have summer vacation plans this year? Before you start packing, check out these money-saving tips :

1, When making hotel reservations, always call the actual hotel site, not the hotel chain's 800 number. The reservation agents for the 800 numbers are usually in different states or even countries, and may not know about local deals.

2. Call for your reservations on a Sunday afternoon; most managers usually have this day off, and the front desk may be able to give you a better deal.

3. Check for vacation deals at STATravel.com ( they offer great travel deals usually geared towards students, however, you do not have to be in school to get the discounts.)

4, You will find the lowest prices on vacation deals during the couple of weeks before the start of the main vacation travel season, and at the end of the season. Booking your trip before June 15th or after Labor Day can usually save you extra money.

5. Try using Priceline.com or Hotwire.com to rent a car. These sites can negotiate l…
